Lyndhurst Hall is a double-storeyed wood-construction portable building. Imported and Previously erected in East Brunswick by Edward de Carle, its state of disrepair was fortunately found, relocated, and restored to its current location in Pascoe Vale. 

A Fleeting Image of Site, its Adjacencies, Texture

Site proper presents itself hidden - its Siting is offset from its formal boundaries, tucked away by Australian flora and fauna. Encumbered by the addition of the new landscaping and foliage, old meets new, hidden yet revealed, surfaces in the juxtaposition of those shouldering.

Horizontal thresholds and their Arrangement

Floor is a diptych of 4 distinct surfaces, yet read as one. Width fluctuates in length; Timber floored decking space, carpeted timber flooring living rooms, brick-paved corridor, and timber brick-paved outbuilding.

Same but Different

Photogrammetry of 9 unique fireplaces, in scale, and in sequential order. White statuary marble to signify luxury and display, dark iron in preference for private use. Five chimneys and ten fireplaces, including one outside. Viewing the 3d scan cut faces, their hidden vertical interconnection and structural relationship are revealed.
