This project is designed for women and strongly influences the local conditions. It aims to form a woman-run economy, but it is expected to perform beyond its design. With the considerable design, the woman house has the potential to become a regional trading centre to push the influence of a woman-run economy beyond the village’s boundary. As it becomes famous and earns more income, the women house should evolve to a women’s centre to unify women together to support women’s rights, provide help and protection for women.

For the benefit of the local village, this project demonstrates a model of self-learning and a self-sufficient community. Lots of innovation, technique, and works, such as the weaving techniques of material, earthbag construction, bamboo construction, could be implemented and taught somewhere else. The labour who participates in the project could use the skills they learn from the project to make money or build more buildings. The agricultural product produced from the site is abundant and tasty, and there is adequate water for the whole community.

All in all, this is the woman house for Baghere Village, but not limited to Baghere Village. We hope our project could maximize the benefit of local women, and bring inspiration, skills, experience and influence to other villages.
